A New Grandson and Other Things.....

We have a new grandson!  And I can't wait to talk all about him, but first I need to catch up on some other things.....

First of all, we had a cold spell back in December that made me think we were going to have a long winter.  I was very excited.  Well, the cold spell went away and it turned warmer than usual very quickly.  We have had temps in the 80's and this week it hit 90!  Needless to say, the kids have already started swimming.
Not sure what they are looking for, but they love the rocks.
Ha! It's a little cold getting in....
But then they seem to be fine. I am not willing to try it yet.
We had a great Valentine's day with the Olsen's.  That has been a tradition for 4 or 5 years now.

Best husband ever!
Jared and Cate sent me some cute things for Valentine's and so Agnes and I made this picture for the cabinet.
The Robinson's know that Nicole and Ashley love puzzles.  Karina ran across this puzzle and couldn't resist buying it just for them.

Get ready Nicole and Ashley!
It will be waiting for you at the reunion!!
I went to a RS meeting a couple months ago and attended a class on gardening.  She talked about gardening in container boxes and for the first time I got really excited about trying it.  Karina wanted to try it too so we took on the project and made a small 4x4 container for each of our yards to try it out.
Other than a little trouble with the power drill, it went very smoothly and quickly if I do say so myself.

Grandma Klundt was here the day we put the boxes together so she helped us out.

Voila!

Ready to dig holes....
Scott helped with that part, best husband ever!

Then we added our soil, plants, and seeds. I have tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, green beans and am going to add a couple red potatoes this weekend.

Keep your fingers crossed!
Now on to the best part....Dan and Nicole have a new addition to their family, Wesley Cole Davis, born February 23.  He was 8lbs 9oz!  He had a little trouble the first few days with some breathing problems and was in the NICU, but he was a fighter and is doing great!  Scott and I were able to go up and visit.

On his way home!
Content on Grandpa's lap.

He's so cuddly!

Jared and Cate came by to see their new nephew.
Such focus...ha!
Is that a smile?? He loves his grandpa.
Camden loves his little brother!

Wesley needs a toy!

So proud!
There was also quality time with Camden which is the best ever!
Working with Grandpa!
It snowed twice!  Thanks, Utah!

Camden and I had some fun in the snow.
Snow angel!

Shoveling the driveway for Dad!
I completed a puzzle while I was there.....150 GIGANTIC PIECES ALL BY MYSELF! Nicole and Ashley, watch out at the reunion!!  You will have some serious competition.
Eventually we had to come home, sniff, but we will be going back up for Wesley's blessing.  That's all for now. We are doing well and life is good!  Love to all.

Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! Happy Birthday!

Okay, so it's been a while since I have posted.  I cannot believe what a crazy year it has been already!  After the holidays, I spent almost all of January finishing a class so that I can take the final exam before Nicole has her baby.  I just requested the exam and as soon as it gets here I will go take it and then be done with Latin America!  Next I will do something super easy, like statistics, ha!

We had a quiet Christmas.  We spent Christmas Eve with Corinne.  We went to Cheesecake Factory and then came home and exchanged gifts.  On Christmas day we invited a family from our ward over for dinner.  We played lots of games and had a nice relaxing day.
Waiting for Santa

Getting the Christmas story ready.
The day after Christmas Kevin, Becky and kids came down for their annual trip to Arizona!  We had a great time as usual.  They basked in the sun, although it was not quite as warm as last year, but definitely warmer than Utah.
Becky's birthday party...carrot cake and games!
Enjoying the sun at the park.

Games, games, and more games.

Becky and kids juiced a TON of lemons for me to put in my freezer.  We have been enjoying delicious lemonade.  Thanks!!!

Once again, Grandma treated us to mini golf.  We had a blast.

The championship team!
Jared and Cate came down that weekend also and spent New Year's with us.  Jared had his annual party with his friends and introduced Cate to everyone.  We also celebrated Jared's birthday at Buca di Beppo.

I hate the goodbye!!
We picked the Robinson's up from the airport after being in Bear Lake, UT for two weeks......
Ahhh, the sun....
Like I said, the month of January was spent working on my class and, of course, entertaining kids.  It's a nice break when they come over!

They love the oranges from our tree.
They love being out by the pool, even in the winter.

Scott dared them to put their faces in the water......
Josh's face says it all!
It snowed in Gilbert!!
Just kidding....our cub scout den won a contest recently and so the 2nd counselor in the Primary brought her snow making machine, thing, whatever, to our den meeting and made some snow for the boys and they had a super fun snow ball fight.  It was about 70 degrees though and so they had to throw fast before it melted.

This past weekend we celebrated Cori's birthday.  Grandma Klundt was here visiting and Jason and Ashley came down from Prescott.  Thanks, everyone, for being here to celebrate with us!
Back to Buca di Beppo for the birthday dinner! We had the same waiter!!
Back to the house for some ping pong....
Cori is always freezing!
.....birthday gifts....
....and Midnight Delight ice cream cake from Cold Stone!  Good choice Cori!!
2015 is already going fast and being filled with wonderful things.  Scott is super busy at work which is a blessing because it had slowed way down for a while a few months ago.  I am busy with cub scouts and school.  Also, our ward is being split this Sunday and so we are looking forward to making new friends with the members from our stake that will soon be joining our ward.  We continue to be so grateful for our wonderful family and the blessings we are all receiving daily.  We can't wait to meet our new grandson in a couple of weeks!  We are praying daily for a safe and uneventful delivery for Nicole.  We are looking forward to being with you soon!!
