Thanksgiving 2015

Here are our latest adventures plus Thanksgiving weekend.

As most of you know, I am a den leader in our ward.  One of their requirements was to make a periscope and then practice using it out in the "wild".  This was a new experience for me as most of the requirements are, but thanks to the help of a good friend who cut the mirrors for me (Thank you Dale Farnsworth!) I managed to figure it out and we got them made out of beautiful whipping cream cartons.  We went to the Riparian Preserve the following week and they had a great time.
Here you go, Dale and Sandra.  They really worked!
Of course, they mostly looked at everything but the wildlife.
When I got home from den meeting that day, Zach and Malia had "heart attacked" our garage, complete with brownies on the doorstep.  It made my day!!
So the big news is that Cori and Jordan are engaged! They will be getting married March 5, in the Mesa Temple.  We are so excited for them and so happy to have Jordan be a part of our family.
The happy couple.

Thanksgiving Day started bright and early with the Turkey Bowl.  Most of the guys in our ward spend Thanksgiving morning every year at the park playing football.  Scott didn't want to actually play this year so he refereed one of the kids games.
He's the tall one.
Jared and Cate came down from Provo and they got a little surprise from Cori.  She had gotten engaged on Tuesday, but didn't tell Jared so she could surprise him in person.
She got him good.
Ahhh....
I wish Cori would cheer up!
Let the games begin!
We decided to spend the afternoon mini golfing.  It was a beautiful day and we were practically the only ones there so we had the course to ourselves.
Jordan beat me by ONE!
Agnes came over to play with Riley......
.....and show off her roller blading skills.
The kids went to have dinner with the in-laws and we headed over to the Robinson's for our Thanksgiving dinner.
Ready for pie!
We were up bright and early.....ok not THAT early....the next morning to get ready for Christmas!
Zach and Josh were "helping".
We even got some presents wrapped.
Came across this pic from October 2013. The kids had come down to surprise me for my 50th.  I still get warm fuzzies when I think of that!!
We are looking forward to Christmas and having everyone here.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas season!!
