Summer 2019

Hello from the land of excessive heat warnings.  This summer has been a blur which I am really happy about since it has been VERY HOT!

My favorite part is getting in the car and reading the thermometer.

I like it when the summer goes by fast.  Here are some of our adventures.

We have had lots of fun taking short trips to Prescott to visit with Ashley and Jason and play with Emma.  She is so adorable and fun!

We got to celebrate Ashley's birthday the last time we were up there.

Between the reunion and the wedding, I was able to stay up in Utah and spend time with my parents in Santaquin.  It's so nice that they are right there now and I can see them more often.  My brother Jim and his family, who I hadn't seen in YEARS, and Spencer and his family all gathered for a BBQ and we got to catch up.  I also got to see David and Sara which is ALWAYS a fun day!

Aedan will be 2 in October...CRAZY! So cute.

Since we have been home, we have been very busy with church, work, etc.  The Primary program is in two weeks...AAAAAAAGH!!!!  AND...we're on the count down to retirement....22 days to be exact! Scott is very excited and we are busily finishing our paperwork to go on a mission, hopefully in March.

Our next adventure is our annual anniversary trip in October, this year we are going to Aspen and Denver, so stay tuned...                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

Beginnings of summer...

We had a wonderfully cool May, but the temperatures have found their way back over 100 and summer is here.  This is the time of year that I am thankful for air conditioning and swimming pools.  Speaking of swimming pools, ours went through a green period and we discovered there was a leak in the tile.  Our tile was pretty old and icky anyway so in addition to fixing the leak we had the tile replaced.

We now have a crystal clear pool once again that I have been using a LOT!

Scott and Scott Robinson were both at Scout camp all this past week so Karina and I decided to plan a trip of our own.  Las Vegas was the destination to see Donny and Marie in concert.  It was everything we had heard it to be and more, they do a fabulous and fun show.

The next morning we paid a visit to Hershey World...

...not that we like chocolate or anything.

The rest of the month has been spent hanging out with Jack Kelly from Newsies....

...swim meets...

...4th place!...

...and indoor projects with the AC on!  I have defrosted the chest freezer, cleaned out the storage room, and I'm now in the middle of organizing closets.  I love the feel of spring cleaning...when it's all done, that is!

Spring 2019

So I finally fulfilled a lifelong dream of mine by graduating from college.  It was even better that I was able to graduate from the school where it all started.  I'm very grateful for the opportunity despite lots of tears, frustrations, and all-nighters studying for exams.  It was all worth it when I walked across the stage and they handed me the diploma cover with the sample diploma inside...haha...I received the real thing in the mail this week.

It was the largest graduation BYU has ever had, 6,960 graduates...

...there was a lot of waiting and walking in lines that didn't move very fast.

But I finally made it up to that stage!

I was very happy to share this day with family and friends who supported me through all those tears, frustrations, and all-nighters studying for exams!  And for sitting through that looooooong list of graduates walking up to the stage!!  Unfortunately, my convocation had the largest amount of graduates. 

Before the convocation Scott and I were able to take some time to drive around campus and find some of my old haunts.

I don't think it comes as a surprise to anyone that I spent a lot of time here!

We also got to spend some quality time with our family and friends while we were there...

I got to see my niece, Sara, for the first time in forever, it was a happy day!

We also got to hang out with my nephew, David, and his cute little boy Aiden.

I got to spend an afternoon with Pam and we went to our old hang out, Brick Oven, and then took a stroll through the newly landscaped perimeter of campus.

Also got to spend an evening with Abbey and Ruby.  By the way, Abbey is no longer pregnant! June Hannah was born this week, congrats Abbey and Jake!

We went to Meridian to see Julie graduate from ISU and had the chance to stroll around the Meridian temple, the grounds were beautiful.

AND...last weekend we went to Prescott to visit with Ashley and Jason and this sweet bundle of joy!

Emma is growing so fast!
