Spring 2019

So I finally fulfilled a lifelong dream of mine by graduating from college.  It was even better that I was able to graduate from the school where it all started.  I'm very grateful for the opportunity despite lots of tears, frustrations, and all-nighters studying for exams.  It was all worth it when I walked across the stage and they handed me the diploma cover with the sample diploma inside...haha...I received the real thing in the mail this week.

It was the largest graduation BYU has ever had, 6,960 graduates...

...there was a lot of waiting and walking in lines that didn't move very fast.

But I finally made it up to that stage!

Waiting to get out!
I was very happy to share this day with family and friends who supported me through all those tears, frustrations, and all-nighters studying for exams!  And for sitting through that looooooong list of graduates walking up to the stage!!  Unfortunately, my convocation had the largest amount of graduates.

Before the convocation Scott and I were able to take some time to drive around campus and find some of my old haunts.
I don't think it comes as a surprise to anyone that I spent a lot of time here!
One of places I lived back in the day, it was a great year with great roomies!

The campus movie theater, a great night out when you're on a budget!
I did it!
Dan and Nicole hosted a celebration for me, thanks to all who came!

We also got to spend some quality time with our family and friends while we were there...
Story time is the best!
Unless it's ice cream time!!

Our version of a walk...

...which we made good use of by picking up trash all the way home, these boys are the best!

Play time is always exciting!
Brotherly love is the very best EVER!

I got to see my niece, Sara, for the first time in forever, it was a happy day!
We also got to hang out with my nephew, David, and his cute little boy Aiden.
I got to spend an afternoon with Pam and we went to our old hang out, Brick Oven, and then took a stroll through the newly landscaped perimeter of campus.

Also got to spend an evening with Abbey and Ruby.  By the way, Abbey is no longer pregnant! June Hannah was born this week, congrats Abbey and Jake!
We went to Meridian to see Julie graduate from ISU and had the chance to stroll around the Meridian temple, the grounds were beautiful.
Congrats, Julie!

AND...last weekend we went to Prescott to visit with Ashley and Jason and this sweet bundle of joy!
Emma is growing so fast!
That's it for now.  I'll be back!

Winter 2019

I've been lucky to get in two updates a year, but here goes another brief synopsis of the last six months.

I ended up taking an impromptu and quick trip to Magic Mountain in October with the Robinson's.  It was super fun and a much needed getaway.
Yes, I did!
No, I didn't!
We ended up running into some families from the ward and I got to spend time with this sweetie.
Some of us got a little wet...
Super fun day.
Happy 11th anniversary to this adorable couple!
Happy Halloween!
Date night must have gone amiss...
Cap'n Crunch forever!
Awwwwww!
We babysat Zombie over Thanksgiving and he made himself comfortable!
Which one is real?
Beautiful Thanksgiving weekend with Ashley, Jason, Cori, and Jordan!
Frisbee is a tradition...
...and so are games...
...and so is pie!!
The madness of getting the Christmas tree lights to work...
...is so worth it!!
Merry Christmas!  It started with a Christmas Eve Eve dinner...
...then we took a drive up to Prescott to see Ashley and Jason on Christmas Eve...
...and then Christmas breakfast at home...
...followed by Mary Poppins Returns.
We even managed to get in a round of mini golf. It was a really fun week and as you can see, Grandma Klundt joined us this year which made it even more fun!
In January, Ashley had her baby shower.  It was so fun to celebrate with her!  Aunt Julie flew down for the occasion and it was really fun to spend the weekend with her!
We even got a visit from some of Scott and Julie's childhood friends from Walla Walla!

Uncle Bob and Aunt Susan spent some time in AZ this winter and we were able to get together with them for lunch.  It was so good to see them and catch up!

We have gotten to babysit Pippin a couple of times and it's always fun to have him here!  He usually takes a day or so to warm up unless Agnes comes over first, she is our cat whisperer.
I ended up being sick one of the times he was here and so we had some bonding time.

Of course, he can sleep anywhere.
So, our most exciting news is the birth of our first granddaughter, Emma Lorraine, on February 13.  She is so beautiful and such a sweet baby!!  We have been able to go up to Prescott a couple of times and can't wait to go back.  We love her so much and are so happy for Ashley and Jason.  They are such good parents and are doing so well.

A bundle of joy!
Proud Grandpa!
She loves to sleep while being held and I was only too happy to oblige!
Ella was needing some loves too!
I got my snow fix in Prescott this year!

Great Grandma came down again so she could meet Emma.

Hanging out with Grandpa.

It was love at first sight!

So sweet!
Showing Emma her new clothes.

Awake and happy!!

We love you, Emma!!
The months just fly by but we are happy and healthy and grateful.  We are looking forward to a trip to Utah the end of April and hopefully some other fun trips this summer so stay tuned!
