This past weekend Scott and I went to Utah to join our family in the Race for the Cure in SLC. It was something we weren't sure I was going to be able to do at first, but it worked in so well with my chemo schedule and so we were really glad we were able to participate and see everyone.
I flew in early Friday afternoon and so I met Pam and Ellen at Thanksgiving Point for a visit.

The tulip festival was going on and it had hailed earlier in the day but they still look pretty. |

And, of course, the snow on the mountains was a beautiful sight for me! |
Saturday morning we woke up early and headed up to SLC for the race, or in our case, nice and easy stroll.

Raring to go! |

My BFF from Turlock, Sheryl, was in town and.... |

.....she and her husband, Marty, joined us for the race! |

There were a ton of people! |

It was a beautiful day, the rain held off until the afternoon. |

Scott and Nicole got in some father/daughter time. |

At the finish line and still smiling! |
It was a really fun morning and so fun to experience that with our family. Looking forward to next year!
And, of course, we managed to fit in time to play with the grandkids!

Camden was so fun, as usual. |

Again, we are so grateful we were able to go on this trip. I definitely have my ups and downs with these treatments and I was nervous to go but feel so blessed that everything went so smoothly and I was healthy the whole time. Next treatment is this Monday and then only one more after that so I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. It's been so much easier because of love and support from family and friends. And, of course, Scott is my super rock!! Until next time......
