Camden Time!

This past week Scott and I had the opportunity to stay with Camden while Dan and Nicole went on their Stake's Trek.  We had a blast.  Camden was so fun!  Here are a few photos so that Dan and Nicole can see what their little boy was up to while they were gone.

On Monday we went to the park by their house.  His favorite thing was that rope jungle gym thing.

He wasn't satisfied with how high he was but that's as far as Grandpa could get him!
He could spot a bug from anywhere!  He had to go see each one....
....and clean them up....

.....and give them to Grandpa!
Grandma had fun picking out one or two (or three) new outfits! He went right for the fire truck shirt first.

We spent a lot of time in his favorite place, the basement.  He loves spelling words and he is super good at it!
On Tuesday, we went to BYU to see Becky's art exhibit.  That is another one of Camden's favorite places.  He was so excited.  He wanted to go into the library to see the sand boxes.  I assume those are on Justin's desk.  But he was okay with just walking through the library.  Then we went to the bookstore and he and Grandpa sat on the floor of the children's books section and read for quite a while.
Looking at the pretty flowers (or seeing if there are any bugs).

Ready to go check out the library.
They must have had a lot of rain recently.  Everything was so green and beautiful!

I had heard that the Heritage Halls building where I stayed as a freshman, Harris Hall, had been torn down and so I wanted to see the "hole" where it had been and take a picture.  So we walked over there and much to my surprise, it was still standing!!  There are only four of the old buildings left and Harris Hall is one of them.  So I was able to take some pictures one last time of my old stomping grounds.
It's looking pretty shabby.

The construction is right up to the front of the building so I'm sure this one is coming down next!

This is the back entrance to our upstairs apartment.
Camden had fun on the way home.

Singing with Grandpa.

Hmmm....maybe Grandpa told a joke??
When we got home, it was Camden's turn to drive....

....with Batman's help of course.
Later that day, Great Grandma came for a visit and took us to dinner at Cafe Zuppa's.  Thanks Grandma! When we got back, we had some fun time watering the flowers and garden.

Camden wasn't so concerned about watering the fruits and veggies as he was about watering all the ants.
More ants on the rock.

Still more ants.
Yep, found some more.
Thank you Dan and Nicole for inviting us to share that time with Camden.  He is such a good boy!  He never cried once or even whined that I noticed.  I'm sure it helped that Grandma and Grandpa were totally spoiling him the entire time. Hope we didn't do too much damage!  We will always treasure that time.

On the way home we stopped in St. George to have lunch with Mom and Marlowe.  Do you even have to ask where we ate?  You guessed it!!

Riley spent the week at the Robinson's.  They always take such good care of her.  She gets treats and spa treatments and walks and lots of play time.  Thank you to the Robinson family for giving her a second home!!
They can even get her to pose for pictures!

Jared and Cate's Wedding

On June 21, Jared and Cate got married in the Las Vegas Temple.  It was a beautiful day in many ways.  Jared was grinning from ear to ear the entire day and it was so good to see them realize their dream.

The Las Vegas temple is very pretty.  Scott and I had never been there before so it was fun to see what it was like.
Here are some shots of the wedding party, family and friends outside the temple:
Cate's bridesmaids (Cate's two sisters and Jared's three sisters)

Coming out of the temple as husband and wife! Congrats Jared and Cate!!

Great shot of father and son. So proud.
Two totally cute couples!!
Jared's grandparents on all sides!

Jared's siblings with families.
He loves his sisters!
After the temple, we had a wonderful luncheon at Macaroni Grill.  There were 82 of us there and we kept those servers hopping!  It was a great time to chat with family and friends that we hadn't seen in a while.

Then on to the reception.  Here are a few highlights:
Helping put up photos of Jared and Cate through the years.

This is Scott's brother Kevin and his family hanging out waiting for the festivities to begin. We are so glad Kevin and Scott's sister, Julie, and her family could all come.

Jared and Cate both wanted donuts instead of a traditional wedding cake.  It was a really fun idea and so delicious!  I'm not sure where they ordered the donuts from but they were the best I have ever tasted.  After they cut the cake (at the very top) they announced that the donuts were up for grabs.  I wish I had thought to take a picture of the swarm of kids and adults alike that literally ran up to the table to grab their favorite kind.  Oh yeah, I couldn't take a picture because I was in the middle of the swarm, anxious to get a cookies and cream donut before they disappeared!  Please don't hold it against me.  I couldn't resist. Yum!

There is my cookies and cream donut in the middle of the picture. It was just as heavenly as it looks! And there is Camden who waited all evening to get his donut! We are both in heaven.

Here they are actually cutting the cake.

Camden and Great Grandma had the first dance of the evening.

First dance as husband and wife.

Boogie-ing on Grandpa's shoulders.
And they're off to Newport Beach!
We are so happy for you Jared and Cate!  We can't wait to see what wonderful things life has in store for you!!
